How to save money at Sephora!

girlwithglamApril 24, 2015

As a college student, I’m always on the look out for discounts and great deals to save some money on makeup. I’m always buying tons of items at Sephora and let’s be real, Sephora is expensive and they rarely have any discount codes! 🙁 So how do I save when shopping at Sephora? I get free $5 Sephora gift cards from Bing!

Bing gives you points for all the searches you do on their site. For every 2 searches you get 1 point but the catch is there’s a maximum amount of points you can get per day. The max amount of points is 25 if you do searches on your mobile phone and your computer. So once you the minimum amount of points for the Sephora gift card (which is 475 if you’re a gold member) then it only takes 19 days! Sure 19 days takes a long time but hey, they’re free and searching takes only five minutes. Usually Bing has extra offers for point earning so it may take less time to actually reach the gift card goal.

If you’re new to Bing your first gift card will take a lot less time to get because you get bonus points as you go up in status. You start off as a regular member and once you reach 200 searches you go up to a Silver member. As a silver member you get an extra one-time bonus 50 points. Each level has three tasks you need to complete in order to “level-up.” Once you reach the Gold member level you get 10% off any rewards so that’s why I previously said the gift card is only 475 points if you’re a gold member. If you aren’t then the gift card is 525.

Bing also has gift cards to other places besides Sephora so you can always take a look and see if that is something you’d be interested in. If you would like, sign up under my referral link. If you don’t want to use my referral you can just look up bing.com and you can sign up there.

Another way to save at Sephora, for those of you who are online shoppers, you can use eBates or MrRebates. These are online rebate companies that work with over 1,000 retailers to provide you with rebates. Lets say you want to make a purchase at Sephora so you’d first have to check which rebate company has the highest percent of cash back because you absolutely positively CAN NOT use both. After you find which one offers the highest percentage you’d login and click to shop at Sephora.

What these companies do is once you click to shop at Sephora a new webpage will open through their tracking system. It will track your order therefore you must place your order through that new webpage if not you will not receive the cash back. They do not see any of your payment information just the subtotal of the order and provide your cash back based on that total. Usually the cash back at Sephora is anywhere between 6-10% cash back depending on the site and the season.

If you’re interested in signing up for eBates you can use my referral link and you”ll get a $10 bonus just for signing up. You don’t get any benefit for signing up under a current user for Mr.Rebates so you can decide whether you’d like to use my referral link or not.

I do receive different values of money incentives for referring others for each rebate site although the incentives are different. Either way you can easily find all the money saving sites via a simple search engine and sign up for yourselves.

Hope these tips help you save some money while shopping! Peace to the out!
