Miami Swim Week 2017 Recap

Hi everyone, it’s been a while since my last post. I had a really busy two weeks with Swim Week and my own personal vacation. I wanted to give you all a little recap on my experience with Miami Swim Week and share some gorgeous pictures taken by Cat from CatsMeowPhoto. All the swimsuits shown on the runways are new designs for Summer 2018. This was my first time ever going to Swim Week. It was such a great experience to see all the different runway shows by all the various designers. I want to thank The Riviere Agency for inviting me to all the events, I had a blast! But to be honest, the first two days were so exhausting I actually took the last two days off. The second we stepped outside for the runways, everyone’s hair was attacked by Miami’s humidity and the heat was real, so everyone was sweating.

New Alternative For Booking Photographers

New Alternative Booking Photographers

App coming this summer!

Hi everyone, today’s post is a little different and it’s about a new application that is launching in June. The application is called Galaxy Photoz and it helps connect you to a professional photographer in just a few minutes, founded by Leanne Ferguson a photographer herself. Imagine just opening your app on your phone. In just a few clicks you have a photographer on their way to you! The photographers have been pre-screened. This means they have to go through a two-step qualification process in order to be accepted into the program.

There will be nine categories of photography offered, to name just a few maternity, wedding, and portraits. Instead of leaving a deposit with the photographer, Galaxy Photoz will act as a third party and will release the funds only once you receive your images. One of the best perks about using this app is that if you are not 100% satisfied with your shoot, you get a mandatory re-shoot for all non-events.

I honestly think this is such a great opportunity for photographers and especially local photographers to get their work out there. If you’re a photographer and interested in this program, the waiting list is available here. The prelaunch campaign begins April 17, 2017 and one of the perks is a brand new drone.

For active bookings click here and don’t forget to check out their prelaunch campaign here. They have a pretty cool Instagram page @GalaxyPhotoz too!! Until next time, peace out!

Sail Away in Miami’s Sunset – Experience Miami’s International Boat Show*

Posted in Travel by

Living in Miami, a city known for its constant sunshine and warm weather, one of the most common hobbies is going out sailing in a boat. There’s nothing better than going out, feeling those rays of sun hit your skin, the gust of wind brush against your cheeks, and your hair flowing as you salute the ocean from the bow of your boat in the iconic pose from Titanic (or am I the only one that likes doing this?!).

Whether it’s fishing early in the morning, sight-seeing on a Sunday, or celebrating your friend’s 21st birthday like I did, you will always find a reason to go sailing here in the city. I don’t think anyone would give up the chance to take a sweet getaway to my city, skipping the cold, and sailing off into the sunset.

This year you can do just that, come celebrate President’s Day Weekend (February 16th-20th) by checking out over 1,300 boats at Progressive Insurance’s Miami International Boat Show at Miami Marine Stadium Park and Basin. There will be boats ranging from family cruisers to sport fishing boats, basically there’s a boat out there for you. Miami’s International Boat Show is actually known as one of the largest in the world so for all you boat lovers you know this is the place to be for the weekend.

Even if a boat isn’t in the budget right now, come see the new yacht experience with more boats in-water at Pier 9, the newest addition to this year’s show. While you walk around and see the boats make sure to keep an eye out for your favorite spot to eat. There are 150 food & beverage options offered including local food trucks like King of Racks BBQ and Moty’s to The Knife Steakhouse, The Sandwich Shop, and All American Classic. If you know me, then you know I’ll be jumping back and forth to any meat restaurant or booth.

If you’re thinking about going, purchase your tickets here and enjoy 20% OFF your tickets during February 14th & 15th (hey, this might even be a cute Valentine’s gift for a partner who is boat obsessed) with coupon code: BOATLOVE.

Want to try your luck at winning 4 – VIP tickets to the event? Keep an eye out on my Instagram for more information on how to enter!

Hope to see you all there, just look for the girl with a blue skirt with little anchors all over it! Until next time, peace out!

Art Basel Miami Experience*

I wasn’t expecting to go to Art Basel this year but my friend had an extra ticket and invited me. The tents were filled with tons of lovely art projects but some of my favorites are the ones you see above. I really like geometric patterns as you can tell by the “elephant” painting and my necklace. There were different styles of art throughout the exhibitions which allowed for everyone to really appreciate everyone’s work. I’m looking forward to next year’s and hopefully I’ll plan my attendance in advanced. Until next time, peace out!

Epcot Food & Wine 2016 + Magic Kingdom’s 45th Anniversary!

Posted in Travel by

My recent travels begin with Walt Disney World’s Epcot! My boyfriend and I traveled around the world starting with Australia and tried their grilled lamb chop. It was definitely tasty but it was mostly fat and very little meat, not sure I would pay $7.25 again. We also tried the Canadian “Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle-Butter Sauce” which was tender with nice flavor. The dessert that I liked the best was the Irish warm chocolate cake, even though it was dark chocolate! From the description I was expecting the cake to have some warm chocolate in the center but I was wrong, at least the cake was rich and moist. Below you’ll see some more of the food we got and their country of origin.

Australia: Grilled Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto and Potato Crunchies

Japan: Spicy Sushi Roll: Tuna and Salmon with Kazan Volcano Sauce

South Korea: Korean-style BBQ Beef with Steamed Rice and Cucumber Kimchi

Italy: Pennete alla Parmigiana: Baked Ziti and Chicken Parmigiana, Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheese

Germany: Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce

Ireland: Warm Chocolate Pudding with Irish Cream Liqueur Custard

In addition to visiting Epcot, we got to go to Magic Kingdom during its 45th Anniversary! There were tons of sweet treats and cute accessories made just for the anniversary. We even managed to buy 45th anniversary annual passholder shirts which we wore that day. I really couldn’t have asked for a better trip than this one!
