First Impressions Marc Jacobs Matte Highliner Gel Liner*

Swatches from left to right: (Earth)quake & (Iron)y

My newest Influenster Voxbox contained two Marc Jacobs Matte Highliner Gel Liners in (Earth)quake, dark brown, and (Iron)y, a dark gray. I have previously tried a “shimmer finish” Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Liner and had a pretty good experience; it’s actually one of the only liners that stays in my waterline. These two Matte Highliners, as you can tell by the swatches, are opaque and live up to the name “matte.” I noticed that after I swatched them and let them set, they stay put and did not move. I had to go back and forth multiple times with my makeup wipe just to get the liner to come off. I’m hoping they will also stay in my waterline like the “shimmer finish” so I’ll report back after a few wear tests. The packaging is sleek and minimalistic, typical for Marc Jacobs beauty. In addition, these liners have a sharpener that is removable at the end of the pencil which comes in handy when you want to achieve a thin straight line. Most sharpeners would not be the correct size for these automatic pencils so brownie points for that. All updates will be listed down below as I get more acquainted with the products’ performance. Until next time, peace out!
