Hi everyone! I’m finally going to share my experience staying at the Hyatt Place on K Street in Washington, D.C. I have been to D.C. a few times before so I knew most of the places I wanted to visit and I knew I needed a hotel near the White House. Hyatt Place on K Street is about three blocks from the White House and honestly, we walked everywhere from the hotel. We used the metro when we needed to go to places that were further away like the Smithsonian Zoo and rarely requested an Uber or Lyft. The hotel is right in between McPherson Square and Farragut Square.
The staff was really welcoming when we arrived and informed us about their breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Oh, and they have a rooftop bar too! Our room was ready when we got there so we went straight up to drop our stuff off before exploring.

The breakfast they offer at the Hyatt Place is incredible! Every day they offer different options so one day you’ll have pancakes but the next day you’ll see waffles. The only catch is that the breakfast is free for World of Hyatt members who book through the Hyatt website. It’s free to be a member so just make sure to make your account beforehand when you book. I didn’t know that at the time, however, we became members when we checked in and they were sweet enough to honor the offer for our stay. If you aren’t a member, breakfast is surcharge per day.
Overall, I had an amazing experience staying at this hotel. It was walking distance to many of the places we wanted to see. We used the free wifi and the breakfast for Hyatt members. Our room didn’t have much of a view but that’s okay because we would only go back to the hotel to sleep. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is going to Washington D.C. for a weekend trip or for those travelers that just want a nice clean place to lay their head at the end of the day.
Have any questions? Let me know. I would be more than happy to answer them. Hope you enjoyed this review. Until next time, peace out!
