Blue & Lace Maxi Dress*

Surprise!! I cut my hair. As much as I loved having medium/long hair it was time to just chop it off and start fresh. I love having short hair because the blow dry time is much shorter and it tends to frame your face more than long hair. The best thing about having short hair is that with dresses or blouses like this one that is strapless, your shoulders and neck get more attention. The first thing you probably notice is my huge gold necklace especially since there is no hair overlapping with it!

Maxi dresses used to scare me since I’m short, 5’2 to be precise. I thought this type of dress would just make me look even shorter but after giving them a shot I noticed that they actually do quite the opposite. Shocker, I know! Mind you I did wear heels because c’mon we can’t have the dress dragging all over the floor. I love how this maxi had a slit on the side so whenever the wind would blow you would get that “peek-a-boo” effect thus my leg would make an appearance. One of the most beautiful features in my opinion. The knot in the back with the opening before the blue portion of the dress begins is elegant.
