If you haven’t noticed I love lip products. They’re probably one of my favorite makeup items of all time and they’re so much fun to swatch. In this post I’ll be reviewing three different kinds of bareMinerals lip products. The products include: Statement Matte Liquid Lipcolor, Gen Nude Buttercream Lipgloss, and Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor.

Today I bring you a new lip swatch post and I will be updating in a few days with my complete review. These are Rimmel London’s new Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colours. There are 14 shades in the collection ranging from nudes to even a grey so you have a nice variety to chose from in this set. They retail for $5.49! Fresh out of the tube, the lip colours have a mousse texture but once dried they are completely matte and do not transfer. I was actually surprised that I kept kissing my hand and…no trace of the lipstick was ever left behind! I have three shades to share with you guys.

Welcome back to another Fashion Friday post! So last week was a bit more sports chic but this week we’re going with casual chic. Sometimes a casual outfit just needs a good pair of heels to bring it up a notch. I decided to go with some strappy heels since this pair has a shorter heel. If I know I’m going to be doing a good deal of walking, I save my feet the pain and go for some more comfortable heels.
When I looked through my closet I knew I had to pair my heels with a dark wash pair of denim. These are from Levi’s Curve ID line which unfortunately seems that have been discounted. These were the only pair of jeans that would fit perfectly so not sure where I’m going to start buying my jeans anymore. If you have any recommendations let me know! Also, these were always high rise so they’re perfect for outfits with crop tops, like this one. My layered crop top contrasted perfectly with the dark jeans and heels too.
Mirrored lens sunglasses are in for the season so I had to get my hands on some. Fortunately I found some that weren’t too big for my face and were on the affordable side. This pair has a black polish frame which I thought fit perfectly with the overall look. Hope you all enjoyed today’s post and be prepared for a special post coming this Sunday. Until next time, peace out!

I can never resist a good deal so when Colourpop had their $4.80 sale I had to make a purchase. I tried some of their matte lippies last time so therefore this time I wanted to try some of their satin lippies. These satin lippies are more comfortable to wear compared to the matte ones but the wear time is significantly less. They are not transfer proof and will need to be reapplied after meals. The texture is similar to a thick mousse and they don’t really dry down completely. They don’t fade patchy but they don’t fade that evenly either.
The only matte lippie I bought this time was Are & Be, which surprisingly for a deep shade has a pretty good formula. Once dried it does not crumble unlike the other dark matte lippie I own, Love Bug. For swatches of the Love Bug and Bumble, click here.
The one thing I don’t like about the packaging is that the writing rubs off the tubes easily. Thankfully, the names of the shades are on the bottom printed on a sticker otherwise they’d all be nameless. You can see some of the fading above in the Calypso tube specifically the P’s in Colourpop.
If you hate drying lipsticks and don’t mind reapplying then buy the Ultra Satin Lipsticks. On the other hand, if you don’t like to be consciously thinking about how your lipstick looks like and can overlook the dryness of liquid lipsticks then the Ultra Matte Lipsticks are for you.
Until next time, peace out!

Finally ColourPop had a special event which included free shipping for domestic orders so I took the plunge and ordered some of their liquid lipsticks that I had been eyeing for a while. I made sure to order two colors that had warm undertones since I know those work best with my complexion. When I first opened both lipsticks I noticed there was a difference between the stoppers, the part of the lipstick that prevents extra product from coming out of the tube. The stopper in Bumble (the lighter color of the two) was missing, therefore, whenever I brought the applicator out there would be way too much product even when I first opened it there was already product leaking all over the rim of the tube which isn’t supposed to happen if it’s a brand new product. Meanwhile, the stopper in Love Bug was present and the rim was completely clean. The formula of the liquid lipsticks is very thin and watery similar to Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks and Sephora’s Cream Lip Stains.
Since Bumble was missing a stopper I contacted their customer service department to explain my issue and they were kind enough to send me a replacement. However, the replacement was also missing a stopper! Guess Bumble isn’t meant to have a stopper. Anyway, these lipsticks as you can notice from the pictures above dry down to be much darker than they look in the tube. I wasn’t unhappy with the colors after they dried but it’s kind of misleading if you buy the product based on how it looks in the tube. These liquid lipsticks are drying, more drying than most others I have tried and settle into all my fine lines. One huge con about the shade Love Bug is that once it dries, if you even pass your finger over your lips with any slight pressure it will begin to crumble. It’s highly unfortunate that this happens especially since it’s such a nice deep shade. Sadly, most dark shades in general tend to be more difficult to formulate.
Overall, these liquid lipsticks do last a good while on the lips but I did need to reapply after the four hour mark. They did do pretty well after eating and drink though! The darker shade, Love Bug, did leave a stain on my lips and required baby oil in addition to my normal makeup remover wipes, the Neutrogena’s Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. If you’re interested in purchasing these I highly suggest looking up swatches of the colors you like before placing your order. Until next time, peace out!
