It’s finally October and Halloween is slowly approaching, so I was inspired to create a Halloween Glam Look. For this look, I thought about pumpkins, for some odd reason, and picked the shades orange and green for my eyeshadow. Coincidentally, these are the same colors as University of Miami so you could wear this look for a football game or tailgate! Go Hurricanes! Anyway, hope you enjoy it and if you recreate it make sure to tag me. 🙂 I’ve included all items used below and a close up eyeshadow image too! I’m going to try creating a spooky Halloween look soon so keep your eyes peeled for that and until next time, peace out!

Today I bring you a new lip swatch post and I will be updating in a few days with my complete review. These are Rimmel London’s new Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colours. There are 14 shades in the collection ranging from nudes to even a grey so you have a nice variety to chose from in this set. They retail for $5.49! Fresh out of the tube, the lip colours have a mousse texture but once dried they are completely matte and do not transfer. I was actually surprised that I kept kissing my hand and…no trace of the lipstick was ever left behind! I have three shades to share with you guys.

Welcome back to a first impressions! Today’s first impressions is on Avon’s True Color Nourishing Lipsticks. These lipsticks retail for $8; however, are currently on sale on their website for $5.99. Right off the bat, the first thing that I like about these lipsticks, besides the price, is that they contain an SPF 15. You all know I’m a sunscreen junkie and I totally believe in using lipsticks or lip balms that have SPF. So automatically one thumbs up!
This line of lipsticks is supposed to help improve the condition of your lips and relieve the feeling of dryness. Upon application, I loved that the lipsticks did feel really moisturizing. Obviously this formula is not like a liquid lipstick, so it’s going to be creamier and more hydrating. They glided on without the slightest tug and showed powerful pigmentation. The only shade that left me wanting more was Mellow Melon. If you look at the lip swatch above, it looks a bit streaky. Unfortunately this is common with pastel colors like this one.
So let’s talk about the scent of the lipsticks for a moment. I took the top off, smelled the lipstick, and the first thing that came to mind was a cherry lollipop. For me this was a delightful smell and it did not linger after application. If you’re someone who likes products to have zero fragrance this isn’t for you. Furthermore, if you want a lipstick that you do not need to reapply, this is not for you. These lipsticks do transfer but it’s to be expected with this kind of formula.
My favorite shades have to be Brown Sugar, Nude Truffle, and Berry Sangria. There are 10 shades in the collection which is pretty decent. Wish there were a few more variations of orange and purple. Overall, this first impressions is a positive one. I can’t wait to give them a full day of wear and see how long they last on the lips! Hoping they keep my lips moisturized all day too. Will keep you all updated, but until next time peace out!

Spring is finally here which means out with your winter essentials and in with the new Spring trends! When we think of trends we probably focus on clothing but hey, makeup trends change with the seasons too. In my opinion, Spring makeup trends usually bring out pinks, pastels, and lilacs so I decided to look through my collection of lipsticks and pick out a few of my favorites for this season. Of course you can wear any shade of lipstick you want during Spring, or any other season for that matter, since there are no rules in makeup; however, I feel that some of these will really compliment some of the new launches in your favorite clothing stores!
Revlon’s line of Super Lustrous Lipsticks is one of my favorites for its huge variety in finishes and shades. This lipstick has a shine finish and as you can see in the picture above it’s a thin formula so it’s not very opaque. You do need a few swatches for an even application but it’s really comfortable on the lips since it moisturizes.
This lip balm, probably even more obvious by its name, is the most moisturizing one out of the five. It doesn’t pack a punch but it’s perfect for when you want just a hint of color, maybe for work or when you’re going to be out in the sun. The orange shade is rather light and the sparkles aren’t visible on the lips.
Bite Beauty probably makes my favorite lipstick formula of all time. All their lipsticks are extremely creamy with opaque color in one swipe. This lipstick is no different and the shade really represents Spring in my eyes since it’s a warm peach shade with a satin matte finish. The best thing about this lipstick is that it’s so thin that you really have excellent precision with application.
This is another typical lipstick color that comes to mind when I think of Spring, a light warm pastel pink. Maybelline Color Sensation lipsticks have never disappointed me because they consistently come out with great formulas. This lipstick doesn’t tug on the lips and has great pigmentation too.
And of course, I had to include a coral lipstick because nothing screams more spring than coral. Although, realistically this can be a great summer color too! This Nars lipstick has a bit thicker of a formula compared to the other four listed above. It has a satin finish, it applies evenly in one swipe, and pigmentation is superb. This shade has tiny pieces of gold sparkle that is visible when you smudge it or try to remove it.
Hope these recommendations inspire you to try one or search for some of your own Spring lip products! Until next time, peace out!
