Epcot Food & Wine 2016 + Magic Kingdom’s 45th Anniversary!

girlwithglamOctober 17, 2016

My recent travels begin with Walt Disney World’s Epcot! My boyfriend and I traveled around the world starting with Australia and tried their grilled lamb chop. It was definitely tasty but it was mostly fat and very little meat, not sure I would pay $7.25 again. We also tried the Canadian “Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle-Butter Sauce” which was tender with nice flavor. The dessert that I liked the best was the Irish warm chocolate cake, even though it was dark chocolate! From the description I was expecting the cake to have some warm chocolate in the center but I was wrong, at least the cake was rich and moist. Below you’ll see some more of the food we got and their country of origin.

Australia: Grilled Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto and Potato Crunchies
Japan: Spicy Sushi Roll: Tuna and Salmon with Kazan Volcano Sauce
South Korea: Korean-style BBQ Beef with Steamed Rice and Cucumber Kimchi
Italy: Pennete alla Parmigiana: Baked Ziti and Chicken Parmigiana, Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheese
Germany: Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce
Ireland: Warm Chocolate Pudding with Irish Cream Liqueur Custard

In addition to visiting Epcot, we got to go to Magic Kingdom during its 45th Anniversary! There were tons of sweet treats and cute accessories made just for the anniversary. We even managed to buy 45th anniversary annual passholder shirts which we wore that day. I really couldn’t have asked for a better trip than this one!
